ROBERT COLERIDGE SCOTT LODGE NO. 7784 E.C.

The Lodge meets at the Victoria Masonic Temple, Galle Face, Colombo on the 1st Tuesday in the months of February, April, June, October and December; with the Installation meeting in August.
An informal meeting of the District Board of General Purposes was convened on 29th December, 1960 to consider the services of the late R.W. Bro. R.C. Scott, C.B.E., to Masonry, and to consider how the occasion should be marked and the appreciation commemorated. It was agreed unanimously to apply to the UGLE for a warrant to hold a new Lodge and to name it the "Robert Coleridge Scott Lodge".
The reason for which it was sought to found this Lodge were “to provide for another Lodge for this Constitution for which there is a necessity”; and “to accommodate, in particular, the large number of candidates seeking admission to Kurunegala Lodge No.3629 and Orion Lodge, No.5130”.
The Lodge was consecrated on Saturday, 12th August, 1961, by RW. Bro. R.C. Scott, C.B.E., District Grand Master, at the VMT, Galle Face, in the presence of over one hundred founders and guests.
In 1974, the R.W. Bro. Col. D N Rockwood, K. SU., E.D., PAGDC., a Founder Member of the Lodge, was installed District Grand Master of DGL of Sri Lanka. The Lodge is also proud to record that R.W. Bro. Lt. Col. C.M.F. Jennings, E.D., also a Founder Member, was installed District Grand Master of the DGL of Sri Lanka in 1977.
