THE HERCULES ROYAL ARCH CHAPTER
NO. 2170 E.C.
Year of Warrant - 1895
The Chapter meets at the Victoria Masonic Temple, Colombo on the second Tuesday in January, April, July and October with the Installation Convocation held in January.
The Chapter is connected to St. George Lodge and was consecrated on 20th June 1895 and was called after Hercules J Scott who became a joining member later that year. The Principals Designate were J N Grant (MEZ), W R F Lucas (H) and J W Ridal (J).
As far as can be ascertained the Founders of the Chapter were J N Grant, W R F Lucas, J W Ridal, G F Trail, J Spicer, W H Figg, W C Mcready and A J Baker. The Chapter was unable to celebrate its Centenary in 1995 due to the regrettable absence of the minute books. The only minutes book available dates from 1977 until the present day.
