About the District
The District Grand Lodge of Sri Lanka is a body created by the United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE) and functions as the administrative and controlling body of Freemasons' lodges functioning under the English Constitution in Sri Lanka. The head of the District Grand Lodge is called the District Grand Master and is appointed under the authority of the Grand Master of the UGLE. He is assisted by a Deputy, who has his authority in his absence.

Similarly, the District Grand Chapter of Sri Lanka was formed under the authority of the Supreme Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of England and administers all Royal Arch Chapters functioning in Sri Lanka under the English Constitution. The head of the District Grand Chapter is called the Grand Superintendent, who is assisted in his duties by a Deputy Grand Superintendent.
